Human Fraternity Conference and the Signing of the Document by the Grand Imam and Pope Francis

About this Event

In a visit by His Eminence Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, to His Brother Pope Francis, the Pope of the Vatican, at a generous table, when His Eminence was a guest of his brother Pope Francis, the idea of the Human Fraternity Document was born. It was suggested by one of the present youths, highly welcomed and acclaimed by His Holiness Pope, and supported and endorsed by His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.

As soon as the meeting ended, we announced together that a global conference would be held on February 3-4, 2019 AD, under the title “The International Conference of Human Fraternity”, which was hosted by the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, And Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and a large number of religious leaders, and a group of the most important intellectual, cultural and media figures from all over the world, aiming at reaching a common formula for cooperation with peace-loving people all over the world in order to achieve human fraternity
